From what I have seen so far the Archive History Provider works at a low level in the History Service so when a get request to a nHaystack server requests a history range larger than what is held on the supervisor will it work with Archive History Provider to get the historical data?
I have a supervisor with 234,640 points and we are having issues maintaining data transmission. The history configs are set to unlimited and owner wants records held indefinitely. Would only retaining the last few months of records on the station help nHaystack run better when handling requests?
